A head of residential life had a problem. A 9th grader solved it. Now it's used by real staff, every week.
My head of residential life came to me with a problem: every week, staff were walking the dorms with clipboards, scoring rooms and scribbling notes, then posting results on a paper sheet in the dorm that students rarely saw. He asked if I could build something better.
I'm a 9th grader, and this felt like a real problem worth solving — not just a project. So I built DormTracker. It replaced the clipboard with a phone form, the paper sheet with a live dashboard, and the manual process with an automated system that emails students the moment a result is submitted.
It's been running at my school every week since. Now I'm opening it up to other boarding schools.
Inspectors open a form, select the dorm, score each room 1–5, add notes and photos. That's it.
Fully customisable templates. No copy-pasting, no manual sends — it just happens.
See trends by room, dorm, or week. Flag what needs attention, recognise what's improving.
One system with the right permissions for each person — no configuration needed beyond assigning a role.
Any boarding school with a residential life program. If your staff are currently using spreadsheets, paper forms, or a combination of both — DormTracker replaces all of it. It doesn't matter how many dorms you have or how big your team is.
Setup takes under 10 minutes. I'll help you get there.
